What You Give You Get Back Bigger and Better!
Yesterday was a funny day full of surprises and for me a great example of what you give you receive and usually in an unexpected way.
At 8.30am I had a call from a client in QLD who rang to tell me he had referred me to a friend of his and after we finished talking about this I asked him how he was, he said, "not so well, I have torn my cruciate ligament while training at boot camp this morning". In his quest to get fitter he had committed to this boot camp even though it wasn't much fun. My initial response was to see the "funny side" of this statement (quite obviously I wasn't experiencing any pain so I could see the funny side where he couldn't) before going into a support role with him.
Later in the day I went shopping and whilst I was waiting for a car parking space a woman with a baby came back to her car, unloaded and went to take the trolley back; I told her not to worry I would return the trolley.
When I returned to my car and unloaded my shopping I went to take it back and a woman waiting for my car space told me not to worry she would return the trolley - wow, that is great thinks me!
Now you might be wondering where this is leading, read on....
I have been having physio for the past couple of months for a torn tendon in my shoulder (thank you, yes I know that shoulders are meant to carry joy not burdens and I am working on it).
Later that evening the phone rang and I ran to answer it (not knowing that Mike had been cleaning the water cooler earlier and there was a puddle of water in front of it) I skidded and landed hard on....Yep my right shoulder and it hurt. When I answered the call (seated on the floor) it was the client I had spoken to that very morning and now I also was in pain and after a bit of deep breathing and asking him to wait a moment (he did not laugh) - I told Michael what had happened and guess what? He laughed and then asked me if I was OK.
Circle now complete.
You get the picture? I do.

Think about This...
A survey was taken recently by people who did volunteer work at least once a week. The results were surprising; those who volunteered outlived those who did not by two-and-a-half to one. This means that doing something for other people is a powerful contributor to health and long life.
AND this....
Knowledge without action is like snow on a hot stove
